"Success in this game depends less on strength of body than strength of mind and character.”- Arnold Palmer
I’ve always been passionate about golf, ever since I was a kid. I kept playing and practising through my school years and beyond. I made it through to the Australian Tour and was a successful member of the team between 1998 and 2003.
I was surprised to discover that what interested me most was teaching and coaching and helping other golfers improve their game. Having had quite a bit of success with this, I was appointed Head Professional of the Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club in December 2001.
Since then, I added to my golf coaching experience and skills at the Sydney Golf Academy at Moore Park and then at Bonnie Doon Golf Club at Pagewood, near Sydney Airport.
Golf is a game where the learning never stops and no one is more aware of it than me. I go to the key seminars to keep up with the latest ideas and techniques so I can pass them on to the players I coach.
These include what it really takes to play golf ‘for real’, the techniques required, the physical requirements, the mental game and how to maximise your success by using equipment that best suits your golf game.
During my time teaching golf, I’ve been awarded ‘Club Fitter of the Year’ in 2005 by Callaway Golf and nominated NSW Coach of the Year in 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2013.
I have been fortunate enough to attend some of the world’s Major tournaments as a coach – including The US Open, USPGA Championship and The Open Championship.
My time spent coaching many of the the world’s elite have both sharpened my own skills and the way I can coach you to be the best golfer you can be.
