If you were going to try and pick the winner of this years Masters by form, you’d be wise to pick a player from either Australia or South Africa to claim The Green Jacket.

If you look at both The PGA Tour and European Tour, of the 32 combined tournaments played so far, 15 have been won from those 2 countries alone! Also, considering that 8 of the 90 players in the field are made up of the 2 countries, with 4 each, the odds are looking pretty good.

Another factor is that of those 8 players, there are 3 past champions – Adam Scott, Trevor Immelmann and Charl Schwartzel, plus 2 previous runners-up – Current World No. 1 Jason Day and Ernie Els. The other 3 players – Marc Leishman, Cameron Smith and Branden Grace had Top 4 finishes in Major Championships last year.

When you take all of this into consideration, you couldn’t be too far off the mark backing one of these 8 players in Augusta!

Who is your pick?
